Zoltan Rozgonyi

Euroexam International


For 12 years Zoltan Rozgonyi worked as Executive Director of International House Budapest. Since 2000, he has been involved in EAQUALS, the European Association of Quality Language Services, both in marketing, and also as the vice-chair of the organisation from 2003 to ‘04. In connection with his current work, he has, for the last 10 years, been involved in Common European Framework based test and exam development. He is currently Director of Euroexam International.


Why do learners _________ exams?

Preparing for exams isn’t often the highlight of teachers’ lives. What effect do exams have on our teaching? Can the ‘washback’ of communicative exams be truly positive? In this talk we look at some of the challenges communicative testing poses to test writers, and opportunities it opens up for teachers in the classroom.
